Aluminium is lightweight and durable, the third most common element in the earthґs crust

Aluminium is easy to work and a wide variety of profile shapes and forms can be produced simultaneously in one extrusion phase. The product is lightweight, corrosion-resistant and price competitive. Aluminium is also easy to recycle. Smelting requires only 5% of the energy needed in the primary production of aluminium, which makes it an even more environmentally friendly material. The natural resistance to corrosion can be enhanced by surface treatment; anodising, for example, creates an extremely durable surface on aluminium products that does not affect their recyclability.
